What a great feeling to be honored, validated, and respected by your peers as well as the public. That's what usually happens whenyour 11th-house ruler culminates in your solar chart. You find yourself at the top of the A-list and getting into clubs with all the so-called beautiful people. You've got your critics, though. Not everyone sees you as shining and perfect. Some folks even intend to hold you to the contracts you signed and the oaths you made (or broke) before all the hero-worship business began.

  1. Are you saying that you can't blog while working on your project?

  2. I miss your posts, but so happy you made it inside. Can't wait to read the memoir - you are writing one, right?

What's with these bloggers who get you hooked and then stop updating for almost two months at a time? And when they do update, it's a cut-and-paste job. Sheesh!

  4. It's good to see you're still around, silent, yes, but around after all.
I quite agree with djones, though.

  5. I, for one, am willing to wait between updates. That's what RSS readers are for.

  6. You are all sweet to miss me. Yes, I have two assignments, two pitches, a spec and the book proposal to fret over so blogging seems like a bit of a luxury right now. But I'm hoping to get back to it some day soon. Best wishes to all of you, JGTH

  7. I think I speak as the voice of reason when I say:

    A) JGTH, miss your posts, but for God's sake, keep writing.

    B) If everybody wants to pool together a fund of mid-to-high six figures to charm Julie away from the writing gig for a bit, I'm sure she'd be amiable. As long as we're not paying her electric bill, We've go no room to complain. ;)

  9. One less thing to worry about in this crazy, mixed-up, topsy-turvy world.

I'm proud of you, Ms. Hollywood.

  10. Thank you, Doug. Although it's important to note that Hollywood is the mother of all crazy mized up topsy turvy worlds. Many days it's a case of be careful what you wish for. Once in awhile it's a scream and I look forward to get back to blogging about it some day soon. My best, JGTH

  11. I thought viewers here might appreciate a link to this:
    Screenwriters in the Shit

While Akiva Goldsman fiddles, more accomplished movie scribes burn
    By NIKKI FINKE

...In a word, it stinks out there for screenwriters, worse even than the fetid stench of the usual shit flung at them in previous years. These aren’t wannabes, either. These are some of the top names in the biz. “I am fucking terrified,” a major scribe tells me about his year of not getting any work. “I can’t believe my career is ending like this.”...
